What is coq au vin?
For those of you who are not familiar with “Coq au vin” it is a French dish that takes a bit of culinary know how to make. I first ran into the dish while living in Provence France (that’s right the province of Provence). Even though it is considered rather fancy today Coq au vin developed as a rustic meal. People had old useless roosters and needed something to do with them.
I’m just going to assume that Zeke was keeping an old rooster in an apartment in the middle of a city for entirely culinary reasons.

I was born in California, though as a child I lived in France, so I still speak a bit from my time there.
